How does Sod-X price sod?
Two honest ways: by the piece or by the pallet, and the number you see on the shop page is the number you pay. Pieces run $3 to $6 depending on the variety. Half pallets start at $130 and full pallets at $220. No membership pricing, no hidden markup at the counter.
How big is one piece, and what does it cover?
Every piece is cut 16" x 24" and covers 2.67 square feet. A half pallet covers roughly 200 to 250 square feet and a full pallet 450 to 500. The piece breakdown below lays it out.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum. Buy a single piece to patch one bare spot, or a full pallet to start a lawn from scratch. Contractors pull anything from a few pieces to a truckload on the same account.
Does the price include delivery?
No. Sod, sand, and soil prices are pickup prices at the Valrico yard. Delivery is a separate flat rate set by distance, not by load size, so the number never moves on you. See the delivery zones.
How do I know how much sod I need?
Measure length times width for each area, add about ten percent for cuts and odd corners, then run the totals through the Sod Calculator on the shop page. It converts square feet into pieces or pallets for you.
How do online orders and payment work?
Online orders are wholesale shelf pricing, paid in full at checkout. Delivery is same day or within 24 to 48 hours; pickup orders get a text or email when your pieces or pallet are ready at Valrico. Sod is always cut to your count.
What is the removal and replace process?
Send the five-field estimate request. Rico or Luis will visit, then we confirm the day and time. After your written quote is approved, we schedule the job. Most installs start and finish the same day; weather or scope can extend the work across 48 to 72 hours. We remove old grass, grade and pretreat the soil, lay sod piece by piece, and roll it in.
What deposit do install jobs require?
50% down to schedule, or pay 100% upfront. Install and removal jobs require a deposit before we hold your date. Balance due when the job is complete if you chose the 50% option.
Do you install, or just sell the sod?
Both. Pickup and delivery cover the do-it-yourself side. For full service, old grass out and new sod in, send the five-field estimate request and we schedule a site visit with a written quote.

Flat rate by distance, not by load.
We deliver across Tampa Bay from the Valrico yard. The fee is set by how far the truck drives, so a full pallet costs the same to deliver as a half. Pick your ring below.
Outside 40 miles or a tight-access drop? Call the yard and we will quote the run before you commit. Delivery is added to your order total at checkout or confirmed on the phone.
